I am a linguist with a Ph.D. in Linguistics from UC Berkeley in 2019. My academic interests are in syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, specifically information and discourse structure. I work with Indigenous Cham communities on the Eastern Cham language, an endangered language spoken in Vietnam and diaspora communities around the world.
As of February 2020, I am a Language Engineer at Amazon working for Alexa Smart Home. Feel free to get in touch to talk about linguists in the tech industry!
My father and namesake is a retired professor of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University who works on ontology and many, many other topics.
Aside from language, you can find me folding origami, playing with my orange cat named Murray, or experimenting with gluten-free baking.
